Good practice.

I think the lesson here is that with a good story board and voice work you can make a decent animation. The only slight problem I noticed was that the voices were made for the comic dub which leaves more pauses to go with the comic I think you could have removed some of that to create a more fluid animation.

Now with that lesson make a person 4 comic dub animation ;)

oooor maybe i can animate DOUBLE K :33333333333333333333333333333333333 ....you know. that kickass webcomic about a fusion between miami vice & gurren lagann ^^ i would love to see that animated! ...but i hate to gather voice actors -.-. it was a huge pain in the ass getting some for Dragon ball multiverse..the least thing i want is to get more.
this is also why i didn bother to look for some in this video. i HATE to look for voice actors. find some decent ones,...having good micros AAAND most importnly. stay with me and not just say ok and then il never hear from them again -.-

I love everything about this, it all comes toghether. The character ( oh god damn I love the character choice ), the song, the boobs and the message all fit perfectly toghether. You already finnished me with me the jab at youtube, but killed me with the final joke ;D.
It's funny how every animation you make always strikes my funny bone from a different side ;D

cheers.

A true GEM.

It got it all. Fluent animation, great use of surroundings and atmosphere, super voice acting, scene transitions, sex appeal, nice characters.
The only downside I could think of is the main character and his ...his hat. The shadows underlining his hat just looks out of place. And the guy himself seems out of place who comes to a fancy behind the fense party in a long detective suit and hat :).
But that didnt bother me that much compared to the overall quality of this movie :)

Fairly well done, just not my taste of story telling though.

The animation is decent, character drawings were good. The backgrounds were a bit meh. Lots of open space with shapeless buildings with tons of filters over it. Personally I would just trace a couple of buildings and then mimic others around it, you really made it look like you tried to reinvent the wheel, but then came with a block, filtered the fuck out of it to make it look round. The voice acting was good though and carries the story well. That said everything worked out well animation wise and it was enjoyable to watch.

The story and atmoshpere was my main problem. Maybe it's because of watching series like dead woods, game of thrones, walking dead etc that my standards are to high for a simple flashmovie.
But lets face it, you know where the story is heading ( hopefully ), so why foreshadow so much? We know the guy is coming for him, he already attacked something nearby and he is extremely powerfull so the last scene didnt come as a suprise. Feeling a bad omen and then still getting surprised is what I think is better. So him finding a burned out cottage would been better, because then when they add extra guards we could have thought that the city was safe and in worse case scenario that the guy would sneak past them to get to him. Instead you gives us the ending as he is apparently able to kill entire towns with a knife and fireworks. Imagine how cool the final scene would have been if we didnt know the guy was coming for him at all.

Atmospher wise you start off with a nice survival touch. The hunting scene, though adding some comdedic relief, cut those factors out. Suddenly it becomes clear that these characters can fuckup mayorly without them biting the dust. What makes it worse is that they rather stick to their character traits after being close to death. So for me there is currently no atmosphere, so I am rooting for the masked guy.

The animation was good, it started to look like it had potential with batman showing up with a somewhat ricepirate type face and the batman mask joke for harley. Then the joke went beyond me, maybe something clever hidden between all those fart jokes like batman always using his tools to beat the badguys that he can just summon. But then this was the least fun way to bring that joke to the table.

Wow, that sure was....different. This piece does not deserve anything less than 5 stars though.

Graphically it was really good but the style really seem to favor subtle animation like facial expresions and lingering movement, but it did a really great job at that. Kind of unfortuant that the detail with the more intense animation was lost. You kind of get pulled out of the atmosphere, if something loses detail till the point that the main colors even switch.

The eary music fitted nicely with the scenes and the different reactions of the crowd added some comic relief. Also liked how the pace of the scene progression was attached to the music.
Good job, this stuff belongs in the hall of fame.

Sherbalex responds:

i dunno what you mean about the main colors switching.

Awesome.

Been kind of waiting for this stuff to turn into a series format and now it has. Graphics were nice, but animation not very heavily ( smooth though ). Still it's hard to create that cute sensation and you pulled it off. Voices were good. Atmosphere was definantly a plus point, the only downside is that the story feels about to pick-off at any moment unfortuantly in the flash world this means that several months will pass before the next episode. That's why a good solid cliffhanger would have been better.

GJ looking forward for more.

Kreid responds:

This was a side episode, nothing to do with the story
