The animation was super good. Best I have seen in a while. Voice acting might be the only thing that was not perfect, but the rest was good enough to carry the suspense.

The struggle scene was probably the best, because the face and position of the bear kept changing throughout the darkness cut outs in a very 3D like motion, while his death stares remained visible.
From that point on the dynamics of the drawings and animation increased to a very high level.

Aside from all that it was of course an entertaining twist on the series. So hell yeah good job :)

Thank you for such a kind review! I'm really happy that you enjoyed it 'till the end!

Just a question about the dub, if you get time to reply via PM: did you had problems understanding what was being said, or was it just a matter of bad acting?
Thank you again Migel! :)

Still have a self made poster of these guys back in my old room at my parents house. Dear god must have been years then. Going to have to watch your old stuff now in succession.

Cycon responds:

Welcome home, son.

I love whenever I get the chance to see another sexual lobster animation. The humor style has grown to me over the years. I have nothing negative to say apart from that I still have a place of need for those type of episodes with the old style of narrative.

To hear classic lines like: "It was then that Fernando started morphing into old forgotten friends.... moofy is that you?" tickles me slightly better than a man drinking boobmilk ;) if u know what i mean. I can appreciate this because I know where it comes from, but I can show the other work to a friend to get some laughs together, but when I show this...it's pretty much...tell me why you like this guy's animation so much :D

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i'm working on a older style dialogue heavy one at the moment, but its taking a freaking long time.

Sam, swing and miss :)
I like to write sometimes why something is good and something is bad...but someone with your skill set knows what you tried to pull ;). I love you tried something new though, but damn .....son....damn :D

Good practice.

I think the lesson here is that with a good story board and voice work you can make a decent animation. The only slight problem I noticed was that the voices were made for the comic dub which leaves more pauses to go with the comic I think you could have removed some of that to create a more fluid animation.

Now with that lesson make a person 4 comic dub animation ;)

oooor maybe i can animate DOUBLE K :33333333333333333333333333333333333 ....you know. that kickass webcomic about a fusion between miami vice & gurren lagann ^^ i would love to see that animated! ...but i hate to gather voice actors -.-. it was a huge pain in the ass getting some for Dragon ball multiverse..the least thing i want is to get more.
this is also why i didn bother to look for some in this video. i HATE to look for voice actors. find some decent ones,...having good micros AAAND most importnly. stay with me and not just say ok and then il never hear from them again -.-

I love everything about this, it all comes toghether. The character ( oh god damn I love the character choice ), the song, the boobs and the message all fit perfectly toghether. You already finnished me with me the jab at youtube, but killed me with the final joke ;D.
It's funny how every animation you make always strikes my funny bone from a different side ;D

Sexual-Lobster responds:

cheers.

Wow, that sure was....different. This piece does not deserve anything less than 5 stars though.

Graphically it was really good but the style really seem to favor subtle animation like facial expresions and lingering movement, but it did a really great job at that. Kind of unfortuant that the detail with the more intense animation was lost. You kind of get pulled out of the atmosphere, if something loses detail till the point that the main colors even switch.

The eary music fitted nicely with the scenes and the different reactions of the crowd added some comic relief. Also liked how the pace of the scene progression was attached to the music.
Good job, this stuff belongs in the hall of fame.

Sherbalex responds:

i dunno what you mean about the main colors switching.

Awesome.

Been kind of waiting for this stuff to turn into a series format and now it has. Graphics were nice, but animation not very heavily ( smooth though ). Still it's hard to create that cute sensation and you pulled it off. Voices were good. Atmosphere was definantly a plus point, the only downside is that the story feels about to pick-off at any moment unfortuantly in the flash world this means that several months will pass before the next episode. That's why a good solid cliffhanger would have been better.

GJ looking forward for more.

Kreid responds:

This was a side episode, nothing to do with the story

Awesome, you still tend to skip some drawings from view though by passing through em to fast.
Still I dont think the purpose of this animation was to be full of quality.
I really loved the whole portrayal and atmosphere in this video, usually there is lack of it in your videos.
So really loved this shit. It almost makes me wish you more terror like this in future, if flashes like this are the outcome ;D

Does this mean that your animated series on machinima will end, or do they get a new animator for it? If so...I recommend this guy called Kirbopher.

( You think kirpbo

Spazkid responds:

Thanks, its nice to see people who look at more than just Quality of something.

Quick animation, fast speech and a neat style. It's flash movies like this which I still close to newgrounds, it's really refreshing between all the game parodies.

I don't exactly get how the vlog made it in the title it's more like a standup rant of sorts. But given the negative association i ussually have with those this also helped with the whole nice susprise feeling I got while watching this.

If I can make one recommendation it was a tad hard to understand everything, I managed and liked it but I can understand some will not. It would not be a bad idea to add optional subtitles. But I dont deem it that neccesary if you dont get that many complaints about it.

Looking forward for more if coming ;)

Oponok responds:

This series started out as videos in which I animated a version of myself relating stories directly into the camera, but I really only shared those with my friends. From there, I decided that my website mascot would be a more interesting narrator and visual hook, and somehow I came to the conclusion that a fun, hip hop aesthetic would be really fun and atypical. The title "The Animated Vlog" stuck, because these rants are pretty stream-of-consciousness and don't really serve a traditional narrative of any kind.

I'm planning on a run of six at the rate of one-per-month, then I'll take a break so I can work on other projects, and maybe pick up again down the road for six more, and so on. I don't want to run the idea into the ground, so I'm trying to be aware of the writing quality and the responses I get.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.
